Imagine hearing your music played by a live orchestra!
If you’re aged 12 to 23 and love writing music – now’s the time to start finalising your composition! The deadline for Artology’s music programs is approaching this Monday 6 June 2022.
Fanfare and To Country asks young people aged 12-23 years to create a short composition (30-sec for Fanfare and 1-minute for To Country). Submit your score and a sound file online. You could be selected to have your piece played by a real orchestra, work with leading conductors and professional composers:
- Attend a live studio recording with the Australian Youth Orchestra and have your piece broadcast at renowned venues across Australia.
- Performed and recorded in concert by the Queensland Youth Orchestras, Sydney Youth Orchestras or Adelaide Youth Orchestras.
Plus two additional mentorship prizes:
- Create the sound design for an Australian Theatre for Young People production with screen composer and sound designer Pru Montin.
- Or work with founder and composer Ben Loomes to create a soundscape for the table top gaming app Syrinscape and have people around the world download it!
The mentors for 2022 are Nicholas Vines, Lyle Chan, Christopher Sainsbury, Jessica Wells and Chrysoulla Markoulli.
