The judges were super impressed by the standard of compositions submitted and had a challenging time narrowing down the finalists. On November 21, the 8 Fanfares were recorded at Trackdown Studios with the Australian Youth Orchestra conducted by Matthew Coorey. Due to the restrictions 4 composers accessed the studio via zoom and 4 in the studio. The orchestra had a terrific sound with the condensed ensemble and the composers worked brilliantly to adapted their works. Our engineer for the day was Jim Atkins. We are looking forward to hearing the recordings in the coming weeks.
