New teacher resources for 2018 …
We’ve been working with our colleagues at Cool Australia to refresh the existing classroom activities and have created a new lesson to assist students to orchestrate their Fanfare. Teachers looking for a composition activity for the classroom in 2018 – why not try our resources – they are easy lesson plans and fit within the curriculum! There is also the DIY Guide for students to work independently on their compositions.

2018 Fanfare Competition dates: Submissions open in February 2018 and close 5pm, Friday 15 June 2018.

Fanfare broadcast presenting partners

We are pleased to announce the inclusion of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre as our presenting partner in Queensland. We are looking forward to hearing fanfares now in all states in Australia. The schedule will be circulate in January 2018 and you can now hear Fanfares at the Art Gallery of NSW, Adelaide Festival Centre, Perth Concert Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

ATYP Sound Design Mentorship

We are pleased to be partnering again in 2018 with the Australian Theatre for Young People with the Sound Design Mentorship and the talented Steve Francis.

In 2018, one young fanfare composer will be selected to create the sound design for ATYP’s production of Charlie Pilgrim (or a beginner’s guide to time travel). …See details.
