From Chrysoulla Markoulli on the ATYP Mentorship

The ATYP mentorship has been a very special experience that has sparked an interest in theatre sound design, one that I hope to pursue. I have loved working as part of the team at ATYP and watching the very talented young cast. I am sure their future will be bright. As part of the mentorship, I have been lucky enough to be guided by two amazing sound designers, Steve Francis and Katelyn Shaw, who have opened me to a whole new world of composition. Many thanks to ATYP and Artology!

Have you heard the fanfares?

The fanfares are now all online! Listen to the original versions the young composers submitted for the competition and their refined works recorded by the Australian Youth Orchestra.

Oscar Gill (Aged 13) says, “When I found out I won I was like, ‘oh, that wasn’t supposed to happen, but when I thought about entering, winning was a risk I was willing to take!” Oscar’s piece is titled The Horses’ Fanfare and was inspired by Rossini’s William Tell Overture.
